Residents and local business owners joined a ribbon-cutting celebration, and the bank highlighted its ongoing support for Andover events like Town Day, the Farmers Market, and the Feaster Five.
   

• Oct. 6 Public Safety Notebook: Railroad Crossing Malfunction, Motorcycle Crash (andovermanews.com) — Andover's latest public safety notebook details a malfunctioning railroad crossing that disrupted Tuesday morning traffic and a motorcycle crash that sent one person to Lowell General Hospital. Police also investigated a recurring report of an unlocked door on Amici Way and searched unsuccessfully for an erratic driver with a passenger hanging out of a car window, underscoring ongoing safety concerns around town.
   

• Andover Changes Water Billing, Adds 14% Interest On Overdue Balances (andovermanews.com) — Andover residents will see a major change on their next water bill, including a new 14 percent annual interest charge on overdue balances and a redesigned statement layout. The town is also rolling out a new Citizen Self Service online payment system and consolidating separate irrigation bills into the main water and sewer bill, with questions directed to the Treasurer's Office.
