SEATTLE, WA (August 28, 2012) – Korrio (korrio.com), a cloud-based service for organizing and sharing youth sports, announced today its selection by Andover Soccer Association (ASA) as its official software platform for registration, administration and communication. Korrio provides the tools required to get players on the field as well as an online environment for staff, families and fans to share and build community.

Established in 1972, Andover Soccer Association is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. With more than 1,800 players, ASA runs 39 travel and 100 in-town teams, making them among the most celebrated youth soccer organizations in New England. Led by a technical committee of eight business professionals, ASA carefully scrutinized competitive sports automation companies in their evaluation process for a new platform. Korrio came out on top based on its focus on security, communications and administrative ease. Its player-centric perspective also drove key stakeholders to understand the value today and in the future for athletes playing multiple sports and at different ages.

“At the end of the day, we want a good experience for everyone involved with our organization. ASA is completely volunteer-based, so we want to give as many advantages as possible to our staff and players. Korrio fit the model we were looking for,” said ASA President Bill Souza. “Korrio provides everything in one place and can see the future in ways other rival products couldn’t.”

Korrio integrates web, mobile and social networking to provide coaches, administrators, parents and players with a comprehensive and easy-to-use online home. Each user has a customized view into their team and club and receives real-time updates on important schedule, location and event details. The platform also streamlines and automates essential administrative tasks, such as registration, payment processing, roster creation, game/practice scheduling and web hosting.

“We are proud to represent Andover Soccer Association. Their application of modern technology to soccer demonstrates their ongoing commitment to creating a better sports experience for more than 1,800 members. We hope to support their continued growth in new forms of automation and community building”, said Steve Goldman, CEO and Founder of Korrio.
