Andover Coronavirus: Board Of Health Recommends Masks In Public
The town joined Gov. Charlie Baker in urging residents to cover their faces with cloth masks whenever in public.
ANDOVER, MA — The Andover Board of Health recommends that residents wear masks whenever they go in public, the town said Thursday. The Board joins Gov. Charlie Baker in recommending cloth face masks, in settings like grocery stores and pharmacies
"These face coverings are not a substitute for social distancing," the town said. "Make sure you can breathe through the mask, it covers your mouth and nose, and you wash it after use."

The town reports 59 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, as of Thursday afternoon. Twenty-four are active while the remaining patients have recovered.
"All residents with confirmed cases, both active and recovered, have remained isolated, and all contacts needing follow up are receiving appropriate support," the town said. "Due to privacy requirements, no information concerning these cases will be shared."
