Andover Coronavirus Update: 31 Confirmed Cases, 18 Recovered
Thirteen residents have active cases of the new virus, as of Thursday afternoon.
ANDOVER, MA — Andover has 31 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, as of Thursday afternoon, the town reported. 13 of those are active cases, meaning 18 residents have recovered. The town reported 15 cases on March 30.
"All residents with confirmed cases, both active and recovered, have remained isolated, and all contacts needing follow up are receiving appropriate support," the town said. "Due to privacy requirements, no information concerning these cases will be shared."
The town noted that there are likely more residents with the virus who have not been tested. Public health officials follow up with contacts of known patients, but residents are encouraged to continue social distancing to slow the spread of the virus.
