Andover Double Murder: 'Someone Out There Knows Something'

ANDOVER, MA — Wednesday marked the fifth anniversary of the grisly murders of an Andover couple. John Magee, 69, and his wife, Geraldine Magee, 67, were found shot to death in their Orchard Crossing residence the morning of December 14, 2011. The night before, the couple's Lexus sport utility vehicle was found on fire in Boston on Prince Street.

No arrests have been made.

"Someone out there knows something," Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said in a statement. "We are asking you to search your memory and your conscience, pick up the phone and call us."

Blodgett said authorities have conducted an "exhaustive" investigation, following leads to four states and 20 communities in Massachusetts. The couple had another home in Jupiter, Florida.

"The investigation has involved exhaustive interviews of family, friends, neighbors in Andover and Jupiter, Florida, and business associates," Blodgett said. "Financial records, computers, homes, and motor vehicles have all been extensively searched and examined."

"Solving this horrific crime remains a top priority of the Andover Police Department," Andover police Chief Patrick Keefe said in a statement. "We are asking people to search their memories and consciences and come forward with any information that they may have."
