Andover High School Junior Arraigned For Snapchat Threat
Details of the proceeding are sealed because the defendant is a juvenile.

LAWRENCE, MA -- An Andover High School junior charged with making terroristic threats was arraigned Tuesday in Lawrence Juvenile Court. The student's name and plea are sealed because he is a juvenile.
Police arrested the student in connection with a threat made on Snapchat Monday night. At 7 pm Monday night parents alerted Andover Police and school officials that someone had posted a photo of an assault rifle and a warning for students not to go to school Tuesday on the social media platform.
Police questioned and arrested the student at his home. Andover Police said there is no threat and the photo was downloaded from the Internet. The student, whose name was not released, has been suspended as school officials consider disciplinary action. Extra police officers were assigned to school Tuesday and parents and students were told to expect a greater police presence.
