Andover Police Arrest Lawrence Man On Cocaine Trafficking Charges
The Andover Police conducted a joint investigation with the DEA after receiving complaints about drug activity in Shawsheen Heights.

ANDOVER, MA -- A three-month, joint investigation by the Andover Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency's Cross Borders Initiative Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Lawrence man on drug and stolen identity charges. Police arrested Eudi Amauris Perez Pimental, 34, on Tuesday and charged him with distribution of a Class A substance, distribution of a Class B substance, giving a false name during booking, false application for a driver's license and false application for a motor vehicle registration.
The investigation followed complaints from residents of the Shawsheen Heights neighborhood about drug activity. Undercover officers made contact with Pimental and arranged to buy drugs from him. On Tuesday, he was arrested and investigators recovered 28 grams of cocaine and a small amount of heroin.
Pimental gave police a drivers license and registration that identified him as Juan Carlos Morrera. Pimental allegedly stole the identity from Morrera, who lives in Puerto Rico. Pimental; is from the Dominican Republic and police believe he purchased the identity when he crossed into the U.S. at the Mexican border in 2014.

"There is a real problem with people using stolen identities and committing crimes under those names, and I am glad we will have the opportunity to bring this case to justice," Andover Police Lt. Edward J. Guy said in a news release announcing the arrest.
