Andover Police Ask Public's Help in Double Shooting

Two men were shot in Andover on North Main Street December 8, police said.

ANDOVER, MA — Two men were shot in Andover Thursday night, police said. The victims, both in their 20s, suffered "serious" injuries, according to Andover police Chief Patrick Keefe.

The men were shot by a single suspect at a duplex in the Shawsheen Plaza on North Main Street, Keefe said. A friend drove the pair to Lawrence General Hospital, where they were treated and released Friday.

"The investigation indicates that the victims may have been specifically targeted," Keefe said in a statement. "There is no word on motive or a suspect or suspects at this time."
