Andover Warns To Expect Discolored Water Over The Summer
When water use increases, sediment in the town water system is increasingly picked up, but there are no health risks, the town said.
ANDOVER, MA — Andover residents may experience discolored water over the summer, but it is not a health concern, the town said Wednesday.
Water use increases over the summer, increasing the water system's pump rate. This results in more sediment being picked up, which might change the water's color.
"The discoloration is an aesthetic issue, and there are no health risks associated with discolored water," the town said.
