DCS Andover Offers B-Bilingual Spanish Immersion Program

B-Bilingual is a Spanish Immersion Program offered by Andover DCS that offers an educational method that promotes language acquisition and a positive attitude toward bilingualism. We believe in the teaching of culture for the learning of a second language. The curriculum promotes the steady progress of listening, writing, reading and speaking skills, supported by fun and interactive extension activities, such as group games, music and
stories. The method is supported by our small class ratios and experienced native Spanish speaking teachers with a goal to pique the childs interest into learning Spanish as a second language, and to nurture continuous learning throughout all our levels.

Instructor Karen Soto is a creative and inventive teacher, an independent learner and researcher of new educational techniques. She has been a teacher and tutor in English and Spanish since a very young age and has followed her passion for teaching along her career in law. As the B-Bilingual Spanish Immersion program designer, Ms. Soto has conceived, planned and applied all her background into developing an engaging and interactive method of teaching Spanish. She focuses on building on the native language, English, and creating meaningful connections between languages with playful activities.

Worker B’s: Basic 1
B-Bilingual’s goal in this first session is to pique the child’s interest into second language learning, and to start setting up a strong foundation for the next sessions.
