In addition, on October 27 and on October 28, Amtrak Downeaster service will be bused between Haverhill and Boston and will not be serving Anderson/Woburn station. Regular service will resume at the start of service on Monday, October 29.

During the affected weekend period, the contractor will be working from 10:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, to 5:00 a.m., Monday, October 29. One-way alternating motor vehicle traffic on North Main Street, Route 28, will be established with law enforcement officers directing traffic through the work zone. If necessary, local traffic will be detoured overnight from 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. These detours are necessary in order to allow demolition activities to occur which are part of the $7 million project to replace the bridge carrying North Main Street (Route 28) over the MBTA and PanAm Railroads.

MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, if possible, to avoid delays. Drivers that must travel through the affected area should reduce speed and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
