Community Skating in the Park to Open in 2015

A temporary community skating rink will be set up in The Park at the corner of Chestnut & Bartlet streets for the 2015 winter season. The rink will be located adjacent to the Town Offices parking lot and be open to the public for free skating, weather permitting.

The rink will be a community project that relies on volunteers & participants to assist with the maintenance of the rink, including shoveling and clearing the pathway. Night skating will be permitted with the lights that are already in place in the park, however, lights specifically for the rink will not be installed. Rink conditions will be subject to the weather & temperature.

This will be the second season that DCS has worked in conjunction with town officials and local community representatives to make this free rink available to the general public.
