Creative Living Andover seeks team members and sponsors for Thanksgiving Road Race

Creative Living Team Feeling Thankful for the Feaster Five
(Andover) Creative Living Inc.--dedicated to enhancing the lives of young adults and adults with developmental disabilities--will host a team for the third consecutive year in the Feaster Five Thanksgiving Day Road Race. The event has raised more than $25,000 in the past two years for the organization. The Andover-based nonprofit is looking forward to another successful event on November 24, 2016.
Event Chairperson Luan Giannone said, “What we do at Creative Living is not Charity, it is HUMAN investment. Creative Living Inc. supports families and individuals with developmental disabilities with programs to achieve higher levels of independence. These families are in it for the long haul with LIFETIME caregiving. Thanksgiving is an action word, and there is no better time to ‘Give’.”

While all Feaster Five participants receive an apple pie upon finishing, Creative Living team members will also earn a Creative Living team t-shirt and the knowledge that they are raising funds to benefit individuals with developmental disabilities in the community. Creative Living team members raise pledges to support life skills, respite, social, educational and recreational programs at Creative Living.
Creative Living celebrates 30 years serving the Merrimack Valley and other communities in northern Massachusetts. Each month Creative Living hosts fun Friday Nights Out for young adults and a Social Club for older participants. GetAway Weekends provide adults with developmental disabilities with social connection and an adventurous weekend in the community while giving families and caregivers a chance to recharge and attend to personal concerns. Creative Living also works with the Andover and North Andover Public Schools Transition Opportunities Program (TOP) and Wakefield and Reading Public School’s POST Academy to provide overnight assessments for transition-age students. Andover Public Schools collaborates with Creative Living to offer the After School Program.
