Firefighter For a Day!

On Thursday, July 16th join Andover DCS for Fire Engine Day!

On Thursday, July 16th the Andover Fire Department and Andover DCS will team up in The Park to give kids the chance to explore the Andover Fire Engines, meet real life fire fighters, and meet Smokey the Bear during Fire Engine Day as a part of the DCS Summer Preschool Park Events.

This annual favorite event will also include time with the fire hoses turned on so that kids can run through the water, so don’t forget to wear a bathing suit! Kids will have the chance to go inside the fire engines, pretend to drive the truck, and even wear real firefighter equipment. All kids will also receive a kid sized fire fighter helmet to keep.

The Preschool Park Events take place for four consecutive weeks on Thursday from 10:00-11:30 AM, with a rain date scheduled for the following Friday should weather be an issue. These events are aimed for children ages 1-6 and preregistration is encouraged, but not required. The cost to pre-register is just $5 per child while day of registration in The Park is $7 per child. Luau Day is the first event on July 9th, followed by Fire Engine Day on July 16th, Truck Day on July 23rd, and finishing off the season with the Teddy Bear Picnic on July 30th.
