Get Fit in the Fall with Boomer Ventures
The Andover Senior Center offers Boomer Ventures for those that getting older but are not there yet.

At the top of the to-do list for boomers is leading an active lifestyle. BoomerVenture has developed classes and activities for everyone, providing a variety of health, wellness and education programs from "Energize With Exercise," "Serenity Yoga,” "Boomer Bridge." “Boomer Zumba,” to “Optimizing Brain Fitness.”
BoomerVenture officially enters its fifth year this fall so it’s time to get ready, get set, get fit! BoomerVenture classes begin September 12, with Thursday evenings starting September 15. Please register now at 30 Whittier Street, ground floor. Or a registration form can be downloaded from www.boomerventure.com and sent to 36 Bartlet Street, c/o BoomerVenture. Fitness classes require a yearly health form. Classes may be audited free first time and joined late, pending space. Register now to hold your spot!

Energize with Exercise
Mondays, September 12 – November 14; 3:30 pm; 9 classes for $50; Thursdays, September 15 –November 17; 6:00 – 7:00 pm; 10 classes for $55; Great aerobic workout without going to the gym. Weight training and stretching included. No prior exercise experience required. Denise Boucher, Instructor.

Boomer Bridge
Mondays, September 12 – November 14; 9 weeks $150. Terry Bargar, ACBL/ABTA Accredited Instructor.
Beginning Bridge: 10 am – noon; each lesson features a 1-hour discussion and 1-hour actual playing time.
Intermediate Bridge: 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Intermediate review with play to practice basic bidding and conventions.
Boomer Zumba
Thursdays, September 15 – November 17; 3:30 pm; 10 classes for $55; cardio fitness with a Latin flair. Afro-Caribbean music and Latin beats, with flamenco, belly dance, rock and hip hop. Katie Pina, instructor.
Serenity Yoga - Flow
Thursdays, September 15 – November 17; 2:30 -3:20 pm; 10 classes for $55. Relaxation, renewal of mind, body and spirit. Class focus on core work and aligning breath with movement. Cheryl Cronin, certified yoga instructor.
Energize with Exercise
Thursdays, September 15 –November 17; 6:00 – 7:00 pm; 10 classes for $55. Great aerobic workout without going to the gym. Weight training and stretching included. No prior exercise experience required. Denise Boucher, Instructor.
Serenity Yoga - Beginners
Thursdays, September 15 – November 17; 7:30 -8:30 pm; 10 classes for $55. Relaxation, basic yoga practice with gentle postures to build strength, balance and flexibility. Geared for beginners and returning yoga students. Pat DuMont, certified yoga instructor.
Optimizing Brain Fitness
Thursdays, September 15 – November 17: 7:15 – 8:30 pm; 10 classes for $25. “Great Courses” video lecture series centering on concepts of brain development, especially attention, general and working memory. Includes brain challenges to improve the brain’s essential functions. Video lecture by Professor Richard Restak, MD, Georgetown University of Medicine. Facilitated by Dr. Malvena Baxter, visiting professor, Salem State University
