Whether you’re looking for the best deal or just trying to grab a great burger without spending a fortune, here are some of the best National Burger Day specials and affordable burger spots around Greater Boston this year.

Bred Gourmet

BRED Gourmet at 730 Main St. in Cambridge is giving away free Bred Classic burgers on Thursday, May 28 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The burger includes Maplewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, American cheese and BRED aioli. Customers must be in line by 2 p.m., and the giveaway is limited to one burger per person while supplies last.

BRED will also offer a three-slider flight for $17 featuring choices like Smashburgers, Nashville Hot Chicken and Sweet Chili Oxtail sliders.

Cocolee

Cocolee at Assembly Row in Somerville is serving up a burger that stands out as one of the more affordable specialty burgers on this year’s list at $16.

The burger includes pineapple mustard, sesame glaze, tahini aioli, Swiss cheese and ramen potato chips on a Hawaiian roll.

Pauli’s in the North End is known for lobster rolls and sandwiches, but its burgers are also worth checking out for National Burger Day.

The Cheeseburger Sub and Mexicali Burger both offer oversized portions, making them a solid value compared to many higher-priced Boston burger spots.

Shake Shack

Shake Shack is offering National Burger Month deals. Every week, the restaurant is offering a different Shake Shack single burger for free with a $10 minimum purchase.

Josephine’s burger includes onion jam, muenster cheese and aioli on focaccia bread, while The Shawmut Inn serves an Angus beef burger with cheddar, truffle BBQ sauce and kombu fries.
