Help Others by Donating to the Mitten Tree

Every year in December the Andover DCS office hosts the Mitten Tree at Town Offices to help neighbors in need. This Mitten Tree is designed so you can bring in new, or gently worn, mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, or any other winter necessities, take a candy cane off the tree and replace it with your donated items. It’s a fun and simple way to make a difference in the lives of other in need.

The donated items go to local area charities in need, such as Lazarus house, who took huge donations from DCS last year at the end of December. The Mitten Tree is located at the Town Offices building at 36 Bartlet Street, Andover.

If you have more items than can fit on the tree, donations can be left under the tree, or dropped at the DCS office (2nd floor, at the same address).
