Joey Voices to Headline Dyslexia Event at Indian Ridge

Two popular entertainment personalities, Joey Voices, and Hank Morse, of WROR 105.7, will headline the 4th annual dinner and auction on Saturday, April 1, to benefit a local center that provides tutoring for school-aged children diagnosed with dyslexia. The event takes place at Indian Ridge Country Club, 73 Lovejoy Rd, Andover. Tickets are $75, include a sit-down dinner, and are available through March 27, by calling 781.938.7760.
Joey Voices is well known throughout New England for delivering top singer and comedian impressions from Ray Charles, Eric Clapton and Cher, to Rodney Dangerfield and Robert DeNiro. Hank Morse will be MC for the evening and run the live auction portion which includes trips to Scotland and Napa Valley. The silent auction features items such as theater tickets, sports tickets, dining packages, and jewelry.

Orton-Gillingham tutors.It is one of more than 40 Children's Dyslexia Centers in the eastern United States, founded by the Scottish Rite body of Freemasonry, and whose headquarters is in Lexington, Mass. The Centers provide services regardless of a family's ability to pay.
Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurobiological in origin. It is characterized by difficulties with word recognition, poor spelling and decoding abilities. Dyslexia does not indicate nor affect a person's intelligence but does affect the ability to learn to read. With the appropriate instruction a child diagnosed with dyslexia can learn to read and find academic success.
