Basic Animation-Stop Motion (NEW!)

Ages 7-9
This class combines photography, creative thinking, drawing and FUN! Working with individual computer tablets, participants have the chance to create their own cartoons and not only be the producer of their project, but the director, animator, and music editor at the same time. Students will be taught various stop-motion techniques through materials such as LEGO blocks, clay and paper. Once the projects are complete, each will be uploaded to YouTube so kids can share their cartoons with friends and family. All materials included.

Studio Art (NEW!)

Age 5-7
This fun and creative class invites participants to explore the world of art through observation, memory and invention. Participants will discover new mediums such as narrative drawing, perspective painting, and illustration. A series of different projects will focus on topics such as color theory, 3D objects and composition. Throughout the class, participants will be able to build on new artistic techniques and will come away with a better understanding of the fundamentals of art. All materials are included.

Mixed Media Art & Design (NEW!)

Grades K-5
Demonstrate your creativity and artistic talent by using not only paint but a variety of other materials to create and design unique mixed media projects. By reviewing pieces from contemporary artists, participants will be able to build an understanding of what mixed media art and design is all about. Participants will then have the chance to create their own projects through lessons on acrylic painting, as well as collage and design layout.

Pottery Art & More

Grades K-5
Join us for a 5 week session of fun & creativity! In addition to decorating three different functional ceramic pieces with kid friendly glazes, students will also create a fused glass piece and paint their own masterpiece on a canvas using water-based acrylic paints. Pieces that have to be kiln fired will not be taken home from class each week. Fired pieces will be returned for pickup at a later date. All materials included.
