Police: Infant's Remains Found In Refuse Didn't Come From Andover

Stamford, CT Police continue to investigate last week's grisly discovery.

ANDOVER, MA -- Police in Stamford, CT have ruled out Andover as the possible origin of remains of a newborn boy that were found at a facility in thet city the processes recylcing materials. Stamford Police were able to rule out Andover after reconstructing a timeline of when material arrived at the plant, which handles refuse from communities in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.

The body of what appeared to be a full-term boy was found around 8:39 am on Oct. 16. Investigators said in addition to Andover, refuse at the facility had come from Stamford, CT; Greenwich, CT; Somers, NY; and the Oyster Bay area of Long Island, NY. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Stanford Police Department's Major Crimes unit at 203-977-4420. All calls will be kept confidential.
