Danvers Youth Soccer Saluting Soldiers Festival

Unlike the annual Invitational Tournament held each May, the Festival will be open to U-08 and U-10 teams ONLY. It will take place on one site on Veterans Day weekend, and tournament entries will be limited to 50 teams. Also unlike our May event, this is NOT a fundraiser for Danvers Youth Soccer.

Net proceeds will be donated to OPERATION TROOP SUPPORT, which provides comfort and support to our active duty troops in the Middle East, to our wounded troops at 6 military hospitals across the world, and to their families here at home. Please visit Troop Support USA for more information.

Festival Details

When:

Veterans Day Weekend, November 14-15

Where:

Gates Field, 172 Hobart St, Danvers, Mass.

Eligible teams:

The tournament is open to teams from MYSA or USYSA affiliated town organizations.

U-08 Boys and Girls; Born on or after August 1, 2007 and on or before July 31, 2009 (Open Division)
U-10 Boys and Girls: Born on or after August 1, 2005 and on or before July 31, 2007 (Divisions A-B-C)
Recreational, Intown, All-Star and Travel teams are equally welcome!
A maximum of 50 entries will be accepted!

Entry Fee:

U-10: The entry fee of $275 per team, payable to Danvers Youth Soccer, must accompany the team application.

U-08: A donation of $250 per team, payable to Danvers Youth Soccer, is requested to be included with the application.

Roster Size:

U10-12 players max., 6 players min.; U8 10 players max., 5 players min.

Game format:

U-08 5v5; U-10 6v6; 2-22 minute halves per ECYSA rules
Each team will play 3 games on ONE day, either Saturday or Sunday

Awards:

Every participant will receive an award and souvenir tournament patch (up to 12 players per team)

This is a PATCH TOURNAMENT!

Each team is responsible for providing patches for players to exchange after each match.
