ANDOVER, MA — Sanborn Elementary school students were visited Thursday morning by a "rolling dance party" brought by the school's staff. To replace a Friday morning dance party the students have when the schools are open, PE teacher Ben Gibson thought of bringing it to students.

Families across the neighborhood greeted their teachers from their yards and sidewalks and made signs thanking them for their work.

"To say it was well timed is an understatement," said parent Rhonda Musikar-Rosner. "It has been a week in which our children have been told of even more activities that they are looking forward to being cancelled or restricted to due to the COVID-19. They truly miss this special group of teachers."

Fridays at Sanborn have begun with a dance party for the last three years, Musikar-Rosner said.

"The staff at the Sanborn School are truly a special group of people," she said. "Actually, the whole Sanborn community is."
