BOSTON, MA — This time of year, former Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts should be on the field impressing people. But due to coronavirus, he's taking his talents to other venues.

This week, Betts surprised shoppers at a Kroger grocery store in Bordeaux, Tenn., by paying for their groceries, according to WSMV Nashville. He also bought a round of pizza for the frontline workers at the grocery store.

The Kroger happens to be near his alma mater, John Overton High School in Nashville.
