Serious Injuries in Route 495 Crash

Two were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Route 495 North in Haverhill Saturday afternoon, State Police said.

The driver, a 32-year-old Seabrook, NH, man and his passenger, a 24-year-old Haverhill woman were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. As of midnight there was no update on their conditions.

Troopers from the Newbury Barracks responded at about 4:15 p.m. to a report crash near Exit 50. Police say preliminary investigations suggest a 2011 Chevrolet pickup was traveling on Route 495 northbound when it veered off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No charged have been filed.
