STEM is Fun for Kids

Department of Community Services program brings STEM classes to young students.

ANDOVER, MA - Beginning this week, the Andover Department of Community Services is offering STEM Beginnings classes for kids from the age of three through the second grade.

The goal of Stem Beginnings is to offer fun-filled and exciting programs for young children focused on building and sustaining interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

STEM is Fun for Tots is a six-week course that begins on Friday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Old Town Hall. The course is $116 and is for children ages three to five.

STEM is Fun for Kids is for students in grades one and two and begins Friday, Feb. 8 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the High Plain Teachers’ Room. This course is also $116.

Each course is taught by certified teachers and/or those who have STEM degrees and backgrounds.
