Reader Laura Winik reported a telephone pole down on a school bus at the corner of Beacon St. and Chandler Rd. Police Lieutenant Greg Scott confirmed there were no injuries; there were no students on the bus and the driver was able to get out successfully. National Grid is working on de-energizing the power lines so the bus can be removed.

Scott was not aware if that stretch of road was closed, but said there are a number of closures around town.
