WHY SHOULD KIDS GET TO HAVE ALL THE FUN?  SUMMER READING FOR ADULTS

Adults are invited to participate in our adult summer reading program, “Novel Destinations” from June 20 through August 19.  To participate, read or listen to a book (yes, audio books count too), and visit the library to complete an entry form for our grand prize drawings at the end of the summer.  The more you read the more chances you have to win!  Participants may read anything they enjoy.  To find new reading ideas or authors, visit our Reading Room page at www.mhl.org/read for library staff picks, bestseller lists, book reviews, and more.  Keep track of your summer reading from the comfort of your own home.  Join our online summer reading program at http://mhl.org/noveldestinations to log your books and to submit online reviews.  Select “Andover,” click the “Adults 2011” tab, and click the “Sign Me Up” button to register.  Print your logs, and bring them to the library so you’ll remember your titles for the grand prize entry slips.

Join us for “Novel Destinations” movies over the summer.  These movies are for adult audiences.  For each movie you attend, you’ll get a bonus prize ticket.  Enter to win all four of the movies shown this summer after we watch them (viewed one time each).  The movie nights will be on Mondays July 18, July 25, August 1, and August 8 at 7 p.m. Visit the library to see which travel/destination themed movies we’re featuring.

“Novel Destinations" prizes are provided by The Friends of Memorial Hall Library, Yella Grille, and Palmers Restaurant & Tavern.  “Novel Destinations” is sponsored by your local library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
