Suspicious Andover Ice Cream Truck on the Loose?

Police warns community after girl reports "suspicious" behavior.

Andover Police are investigating a reportedly suspicious ice cream truck driver after an alleged incident Wednesday.

Police say a 16-year-old Andover girl said a man in an ice cream truck attempted to talk to her in the area of High Plain Road and Beacon Street as she was walking home. The girl told police the truck, which had the word "ice cream" on the side of it in blue lettering, approached her on the opposite side of the road. The driver yelled "hey" and "hello" and kept driving.

"This young woman did the right thing by calling police after an unnerving situation," Chief Patrick Keefe said in a statement. "At this time we do not feel the public is in any danger, but will continue to search for this vehicle and follow up on any leads we receive."
