Woman Charged In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash In Andover: State Police
A woman is facing charges following an alleged drunk-driving crash on I-495 that left one person dead and injured three others, police said.

ANDOVER, MA — A woman has been charged with driving under the influence following a fatal hit-and-run crash in Andover over the weekend, according to state police.
Police responded to a call Saturday at 10:45 p.m. reporting a hit-and-run accident on I-495 north in Andover south of exit 99.
An investigation found that a 2009 Honda Fit was driving northbound with a 2014 Ford Edge sedan also northbound behind it. The Ford crashed into the rear of the Honda, pushing it across the breakdown lane and into the guardrail.

The Ford did not stop and continued north on I-495, according to state police.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate a 75-year-old woman and a 76-year-old man from the rear seat of the Honda.

Both were transported by medical helicopter to Boston hospitals. The woman later died due to her injuries. Police identified the woman as Luzmila Quispe, 75.
The two people in the front, a 22-year-old Methuen woman who was driving and a 53-year-old Methuen woman in the front passenger seat, were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Lawrence police later found the Ford's driver at a Gulf gas station on Route 114 in Lawrence. The car had front end damage and registration that matched "evidence observed at the crash scene," according to state police.
Police conducted field sobriety tests on Jaymee Miller, 32, of Lawrence. She was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of a crash causing personal injury, and leaving the scene of a crash causing property damage.
She was booked at the State Police-Andover Barracks, where she refused to submit to a chemical breath test to detect the presence of alcohol, police said.
She was given a mandatory license suspension and her driver’s license was seized. A bail clerk set bail at $20,000.
Miller was transported to the Suffolk County House of Correction where she will be held until she posts bail or is arraigned at Lawrence District Court.
The charges against her may be upgraded to reflect the death of the passenger depending on the results of the ongoing investigation, according to police.
