Woman Dies After Being Struck By MBTA Train In Andover
Police have not released the identification of the 41-year-old woman who was killed Thursday night.

ANDOVER, MA -- A woman who was trespassing on MBTA railroad tracks was struck and killed by an outbound Haverhill train 100 yards south of the Ballardville Station in Anodover Thursday night. Transit Police and Andover fire and EMS crews responded to the call at 10:10 pm. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Transit Police have not released the woman's identity, pending notification of the family. They said she was about 41 years old. Foul play is not suspected in the case, which is being investigated by the Transit Police and the Essex County District Attorney's Office.
In September, a 17-year-old Phillips Academy student committed suicide by jumping in front of a MBTA train near the Ballardville Station. Daniel Nakajima was hit by an outbound train on the Haverhill line that runs from North Station in Boston shortly after 7 pm on Sept. 26.
