1 Dead In Early-Morning Fire At Arlington Senior Housing Complex

A fire at Chestnut Manor in Arlington broke out around 4 a.m., promptings dozens of evacuations. At least one other person was injured.

ARLINGTON, MA — A woman is dead following an early-morning fire at Arlington's Chestnut Manor, a housing complex for seniors and people with disabilities, according to multiple reports.

Dozens of residents were evacuated from the seven-story building at 4 Winslow St. after the fire broke out in a room on the third floor, Boston 25 News reported. The fire started around 4 a.m., according to reports.

In addition to the fatality, another woman was injured in the fire, officials told NBC Boston. Both were likely smoke-related, fire officials added.
