Community Corner
2 Whittemore Park Planning Forums This Month
Arlington invites residents to participate in the project.

ARLINGTON, MA – The following is an announcement from the town of Arlington.
The Arlington Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) reminds the community of two upcoming opportunities to participate in the Whittemore Park Planning Project. This project, supported by Community Preservation Act (CPA) funds, builds on momentum generated by past projects aimed at transforming the park into a focal point for recreation and civic functions, as well as a place to appreciate Arlington’s cultural heritage.
Join DPCD and Crowley Cotrell, LLC, the project designer, in Whittemore Park on June 13, 5 to 7 pm, for a design day. Design day participants will experience the proposed design in real time in the park and will be invited to provide any feedback. Whittemore Park is located at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Mystic Street.

Crowley Cotrell will present their final recommendations and design for Whittemore Park based on the outreach efforts including two public forums, an online survey, and the design day in the park.
