3 Things to Do In Arlington This Weekend

Check out First Lights 2010 and performances around Town.

Arlington officially kicks off the holiday season with First Lights 2010 this Saturday. From 1-5 p.m. Capitol Square businesses will be handing out prizes. There will be raffles, refreshments and caroling. The tree lighting will be at 5 p.m. at Summit House. 

The Wait & Friends is holding a benefit concert at the  on Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. The show will feature Boston-based rock and roll band, The Wait, soul legend Mighty Sam McClain, with special emcee Jimmy Tingle. $12 will get you admission into the show and $25 will get you a seat and entrance into the post-show reception with the performers with food and a cash bar. For more information, visit The Wait & Friends Facebook or www.giveusyourpoor.org

The  holds its annual Christmas Concert and Carol Sing this Sunday starting at 3 p.m. Donations will be taken in lieu of tickets with all proceeds to benefit the Church's Music Program Fund. The concert will feature the PACC Chancel choir, the PACC Youth Choir, as well as a variety of choral and instrumental solos. The audience will also be invited to sing traditional Christmas carols at the end of the performance. There will be a bake sale in the parish hall directly following the performance.
