What To Expect At Arlington Town Day 2026

This annual event features offerings for residents of all ages.

ARLINGTON, MA — The town is inviting residents to its annual Town Day celebration next weekend, with live entertainment, family activities, public safety demonstrations and opportunities to meet municipal staff and community organizations.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with fireworks over Spy Pond at 7:30 p.m. Parking will be limited, and visitors are encouraged to walk or bike when possible.

This year's celebration will feature inflatable games, a remote-control racetrack, a bubble experience, free pony rides and the Friends of the Robbins Library's annual used-book sale. The Arlington Recreation Bounce Bash will cost $10 for unlimited use, while activities throughout the main event area are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Arlington Fire Department will offer a touch-a-truck display and Jaws of Life demonstrations behind Robbins Library. Arlington police will provide public safety information at a booth near the library entrance, where the department's Family Services Team will also be available to assist residents. K-9 Officer Michael Hogan and Eiko will conduct demonstrations at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Entertainment on the Town Hall outdoor stage will begin with the national anthem and a Select Board welcome at 10:30 a.m. The schedule includes APW Cheer, the Boston Skyline Chorus, the Sikh Association of Neighboring Towns, an Arlington High School music showcase, Class6, and Mrs. Jones and a Thing Goin On.

Residents will also be able to meet town staff and volunteers working on affordable housing, transportation, bicycling, conservation, open space, clean energy, arts and business development. The booths are intended to help visitors learn about municipal services and ongoing projects while speaking directly with the people involved.
