Harvard's Sean Kelly to Speak Tuesday at Community Ed

Sean Dorrance Kelly, an Arlington resident and the chair of the philosophy department at Harvard, will appear at Arlington Community Education on Tuesday evening, April 3, to talk about his New York Times bestseller All Things Shining: Reading the Western Classics to Find Meaning in a Secular Age.

This event will be the first in Community Ed's spring line-up of Tuesday Night Conversations, moderated by Fortune magazine editor-at-large David Whitford.  Says Mr Whitford, "All Things Shining is a brilliant book for the general interest reader that begins with the most seductive 'Note to Reader' I've ever read. Anyone who hasn't read this book yet, will want to after hearing Professor Kelly speak."

Community Ed was inspired to contact Professor Kelly last year after a staff member saw him interviewed about his book on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report.

The program will take place in the Arlington High School Learning Commons, 869 Mass Ave, and will begin at 7:30pm.  Admission is $5 at the door, and free for Arlington High School students. For more information, call the Community Ed office at 781 316-3568 or visit www.ArlingtonCommunityEd.org.

This event is co-sponsored by the Robbins Library.
