Arlington Animal Control Getting '10-15' Coyote Calls Daily
Animal Control Officer Diane Welch will hold a public meeting to address the issue of coyotes in town.
ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington Animal Control Officer Diane Welch is planning a public meeting for residents to learn more about coyotes. In a post on a local Facebook group, Welch said she's been getting "10-15 calls" daily about coyotes.
Coyotes, once confined to the west, are not considered a threat to humans but have been known to prey on pets. Welch has asked a representative from Project Coyote to deliver a presentation Wednesday, July 31 at 7 p.m. A location is still in the process of being secured.
"John is an expert on coyotes and I’ve gone to his presentations before and learned so much," Welch wrote. "So wether [sic] you love them, are frightened by them or hate them...come for an informative evening and bring your questions/concerns."
