Arlington Animal Control Issues Warning After Dog Eats Rat Poison
The poison was left on the road and not contained in a bait box, Animal Control said.
ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington Animal Control is warning parents and pet owners about loose rat poison in a section of town. A man was walking his dog Wednesday when it started eating something that was later determined to be rat poison, Animal Control said.
The poison was not contained in a bait box. It was left at the end of Inverness Road, the man told Animal Control.
Animal Control Officer Diane Welch said she is concerned about children or pets getting near the poison. She will not be back at work until Monday and asked the public to dispose of it if possible.
