In an email to patch AB Crew Board of Directors Co-President Melissa Brown did not mention Grinberg specifically, but confirmed that it had accepted a head coach's resignation "with an appreciation for the coach's past services."

"The Board of AB Crew is in the process of investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding certain alleged thefts that were recently brought to the Board's attention. We have engaged outside counsel to assist us in this effort. That investigation is ongoing. In order to protect any individuals who may or may not be involved in the allegations, and in order to protect the integrity of the investigation itself, we are unable to comment further. Our objective is to follow the facts and to conscientiously and responsibly resolve this situation in a fair and appropriate manner and as expeditiously as possible.
With respect to any coaches, we are not able to comment on personnel matters, other than to confirm that one of the head coaches has resigned and the Board has accepted that coach's resignation, with an appreciation for the coach's past services. These personnel matters are independent of the ongoing investigation into the alleged thefts."
