Arlington Christmas Tree Pickup: How To Recycle Yours

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington is providing curbside pickup of Christmas trees the week of Jan. 6-10. Trees should be placed curbside on your regular trash day.

Since the trees will be recycled for composting and put through a chipping machine, they must be free of decorations, garland, tinsel and wire and cannot be placed in a plastic bag.

Trees may also be brought to the DPW on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Yard waste will not be collected this week. Collections of yard waste will resume the week of April 13. For additional details on how to dispose of your Christmas tree please visit arlingtonma.gov/recycle.
