Arlington To Launch Water Main Rehabilitation Projects Near Sunnyside Ave

ARLINGTON, MA — The Town of Arlington will be completing Water Main Rehabilitation Projects in the Sunnyside Avenue area during the 2022 construction season.

These projects will replace water mains that have reached the end of their useful life and will improve water distribution system reliability. Work was originally anticipated to begin in fall 2021 but was delayed due to the onset of winter weather.

Work will occur on the following roadways:

• Broadway (Sunnyside Avenue east to the Town line)
• Gardner Street (Fremont Street to Decatur Street)
• Memorial Way
• Sunnyside Avenue

This project is being completed in response to water main breaks in the neighborhood and is being designed to avoid impacts to newly installed sidewalks.
