Arlington Library Misses Out On Funding Opportunity
The Edith M. Fox Library was not selected by the state for renovation funding.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Board of Library Trustees announced that the town was not selected for a grant from the state’s Public Library Construction Program.
Earlier this month, the MPLCP distributed $1.3 million in planning and design grants to 13 libraries. Arlington submitted a proposal to fund sizable renovations to the Edith M. Fox Library on Massachusetts Library, but was not selected.
With the next grant cycle not slated to take place until 2027, the Board is exploring other funding options. It has a partnership with the Arlington Libraries Foundation.
