Arlington Memorial Day: Cemetery Entrances Closed For Parade
The entrances of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery will be closed from 5 a.m. - noon on Monday.

The following is from Mt. Pleasant Cemetery:
This notice is to inform all visitors that on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017, all entrances to the cemetery will be closed to motor vehicles at 5am. The gates will open again around 12pm. This is done to allow the parade to enter the cemetery without motor vehicle traffic.
The office hours in the chapel for Memorial Day weekend will be:

Saturday – 7am – 3pm or as needed
Sunday - 7am - 3pm
Monday - 10am - 3pm
As per cemetery policy, decoration cleanup will begin 10 days after Memorial Day.

Please be reminded that there is no planting of flowers or shrubs in the newer section or the flat marker section. Artificial flowers are not to be placed in the ground. Borders and/or fencing are not allowed nor are shepherd hooks, solar lights or candles. We discourage visitors from putting anything of sentimental and expensive value on the gravesite due to vandalism or theft.
