Arlington Native Makes Cover of New England Soccer Journal

The Syracuse defenseman was also a standout on the Arlington High School basketball team.

ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington High School graduate and native of the town has been named as the cover athlete for the New England Soccer Journal's college preview edition.

The New England soccer magazine announced Wednesday that Arlington native and University of Syracuse defenseman Miles Robinsonwould grace the cover of the magazine's September college preview issue.

During his Freshman season, Robinson was tied for third on the Syracuse team with four goals, three of which came off headers. He was named to the ACC All-Conference team, and helped the Orangemen hold opponents scoreless nine times during the 2015 season.

He also helped the U.S. U-20 team claim a 2016 NTC invitational title. He was voted to College Soccer News' All-Freshman First Team, and the ACC All-Tournament team

Robinson played for the FC Boston Bolts club team during his high school years which did not allow him to suit up for the Spy Ponders, but was a standout basketball player for the Arlington High School boys basketball team. He lead the Spy Ponders to an undefeated Middlesex League season during his senior year.
