Arlington PD Investigating Report Of Man Punching Middle Schooler

ARLINGTON, MA – Arlington police are investigating a reported altercation between a jogger and middle school student, a spokesperson for the department said. Police received a report of an assault Tuesday morning.

A woman wrote on the Arlington List Facebook group that her son was biking to school that morning and stopped to wait for a jogger to pass. She said the man told her son he could go first.

"Then before he knew it, the man ran after him and punched him in the arm, telling him he didn't say he could go," she alleged. The woman described the jogger as a white, middle-aged man with facial hair, a yellow sport shirt and black shorts.

Police would like to speak to the man in a video the woman said her son took at the scene, according to a department spokesperson.
