ARLINGTON, MA — Police arrested a woman for driving without a valid license and it led to an investigation of possible elder abuse.
One Aug. 19 Arlington Police arrested Patricia Denbow, 58, of Everett and charged her with driving without a valid license.
According to the police report, an officer was working on a case relating to the car of a recent widow and it lead to the arrest. The Arlington resident told police she wanted a car back from a man who was driving her recently deceased husband's car. The man told police she gave him the car since she was no longer able to drive it and she signed papers to that effect. The woman told police she never realized she signed any such thing. The man, who turned out to be a relative of the woman's paid caregiver said he agreed to give the car back to the woman that day. But during the course of that investigation police said there might be more to the situation and an investigation is ongoing.
