Arlington Restaurant To Close, Citing Supply Chain Issues
Italian restaurant Twyrl is shutting down next month after four years in Arlington Center.
ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington restaurant will close next month after struggling with ongoing supply chain issues.
Italian restaurant Twyrl is shutting down Dec. 16 after more than four years in Arlington Center.
"A multitude of factors helped shape this decision, none more challenging than the breakdown of the supply chain," the owners wrote in a statement on the restaurant's website. "This has caused the cost of goods and services to soar, making the prospect of committing to a long-term lease far too great a risk in the face of future economic uncertainty and instability."

Twyrl offers customizable pasta dishes with a slew of bases, sauces and toppings, as well as specialty pastas. The restaurant expects an influx of diners ahead of its closure, so customers are asked to book a table in advance.
"We ask that the 'friends of Twyrl' stop by before we close, if only just to say goodbye. Fair warning: we may shed some tears," the statement read in part.
