Arlington Scammers Posing As Eversource Reps: Police
Police have issued a warning about a new scam targeting Arlington residents.
ARLINGTON, MA — Several residents have reported scammers posing as Eversource representatives, police said. The callers will ask for account information and claim a high amount is due. They will request that a customer buy money pack cards to pay the bill, according to police.
Police advise residents to not give them any information and hang up. Eversource has been notified, and the callers are not affiliated with them.
Residents who believe they may have given out too much information may file an identity theft report on the town website or call police dispatch at 781-643-1212.
