Arlington Soap Box Derby: Race Times, Road Closures and More
Here's what you need to know about the Soap Box Derby in Arlington

ARLINGTON, MA—The eighth annual Arlington Soap Box Derby race is set to take place Saturday on Eastern Avenue.
The race is will feature boys and girls between the ages of 7 and twenty that reside in Eastern Massachusetts. Parents and children take part in both building and racing the cars, and children are always encouraged to do a majority of the work as their level permits, according to ArlingtonSoapBox.org.
Greg Thompson of the Arlington Soap Box Derby told Patch that cars will be making their way from Mirak Chevrolet to the track at about 8 a.m., with racing beginning between 9 and 9:30 a.m.

According to the Town of Arlington Website, Eastern Avenue will between Highland Avenue and Park Circle. No on-street parking will be allowed during those times.
The rain date is June 5, although forecasts call for partly sunny skies and a high in the low 80s.
