Arlington Starting Search For Next Superintendent
Superintendent Kathleen Bodie is set to retire at the end of the 2020-21 school year.
ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington is starting the search for its next superintendent of schools, over a year before current Superintendent Kathleen Bodie is set to retire. Earlier this year, Bodie announced she will retire at the end of the 2020-21 school year.
The district has already established a Superintendent Search Committee, Wicked Local reported. Chairman Paul Schlictman told the publication the Committee plans to advertise the job by September 2020. The process will involve talking to school and community members and hiring a consultant to form focus groups to give feedback.
Bodie said in June she is staying until 2021 to be involved in construction of the new high school.
