Arlington Woman Dies In Apartment Fire

The blaze broke out on the first floor of an Arlington apartment building Saturday night.

ARLINGTON, MA – An Arlington woman died in an apartment fire Saturday night, officials told the Boston Globe. The fire broke out in the first-floor apartment at 20 Osborne Rd. around 9 p.m.

According to the Globe, a neighbor sprayed a garden hose at the flames until the Arlington Fire Department arrived. The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage and displaced two second-floor residents.

The woman, who was described as "elderly," has not yet been identified. Officials believe the fire was accidental.
